New England Aquarium Dive Club
Begun in 1975, the New England Aquarium Dive Club is one of the world's oldest and largest dive clubs. The NEADC is a non-profit organization, headquartered at New England Aquarium. The New England Aquarium consists of sport divers, marine scientists, instructors, dive medicine experts, professional divers and interested non- or ex-divers. This club shares the fun of diving, a love of the sea, a concern for diving safety, and a desire to learn more about the aquatic realm and to share that knowledge with others. Their staple events consist of the popular Great Annual Fish Count and Tropical Fish Rescue, both annual events drawing the diving community together for the greater benefit of our environment. They also publish newsletters for their members.
At each General Meeting (held the third Wednesday of every month at the Aquarium), they have a presenter showcasing their work in the community as it relates to diving or marine conservation. In addition, a membership card drawing selects one member to dive in the Giant Ocean Tank. You'll be eligible to win on your very first night as an NEADC member and are eligible to win every 12 months. To learn more about the Dive Club, stop by one of their monthly meetings.
