Kettle Island (boat dive)

Manchester by the sea

Kettle Island is a nice dive site located out of Manchester by the Sea. It's an intermediate dive site due to the depths of 65 feet, but it's also a boat dive so divers need to be familiar with navigation techniques in normal limited visibility conditions. It's a site with boat traffic and lobster pot lines. Divers can come across anemones (white, frilled and northern red), urchins, northern sea stars, forbes sea stars, blood stars, sea ravens, rock gunnel, nudibranchs, lobster, Jonah crabs, and so much more.

Current can be strong around changing tides, beware.
