Operation Blue Pride

Operation Blue Pride’s (OBP) mission is to welcome Veterans, Active Duty Military and Gold Star Families into the scuba diving community at low or no cost and provide basic and advanced scuba training and certification, regardless of physical or psychological injuries. OBP enables Veterans to participate in scuba training that is adapted for each individual's needs and in accordance with established certification guidelines.

OBP became active in New England in 2014 and has since certified 300+ Veterans and expanded its programming to include shore and boat dives, advanced/specialty dive classes, professional level scuba training and adaptive instructor and buddy diver training.

OBP's open water scuba program is designed to be local to their Veterans' communities. One of OBP's goals is to help Veterans expand their personal network within the area here at home. OBP Veterans meet other local Veterans through their program and OBP's ambition is to continue to expand their reach to other local Veterans through diving.
