South Shore Neptunes
For over fifty years the South Shore Neptunes dive club has attracted members from all over eastern Massachusetts. Today their membership includes over 130 sports divers ranging in age from 16 to 70. There are regularly scheduled club dives and meetings, and a monthly newsletter detailing upcoming educational and social events. In addition, members often get together in smaller groups for diving and special activities.
The goal of the club is to promote safe diving and appropriate precautions are taken at all activities. Members’ families and friends are also invited to participate in most club activities. Among the year's annual events are: Diver-of-the-Year competition, New Year's Day dive, picnic on George's Island at the beginning of the summer, all-you-can-eat midsummer picnic at Duxbury beach, and the South Shore Neptunes Ice Dive in February. This club sponsors year-round diving including monthly beach dives, boat dives, night dives and wreck dives. All divers interested in learning more about the club are invited to any one of their meetings. Club members can introduce you to a new world of divers and diving experiences. The cost of membership is low, and the benefits are many.
