Lanes Cove
Gloucester
Lanes Cove in Gloucester, MA. Lanes Cove is a great place to dive when it works out. There is limited parking here so the earlier you can get here the better chance you have of grabbing a spot. The entrance is dangerous at low-tide as there are wet slippery rocks. We HIGHLY recommend this site during high tide only. When all works out, there is a beautiful wall teeming with life with 60+ max depth during high tide, with potential sightings of a torpedo ray or goose fish.
Divers are not loved by all of the lobstermen in the area. Divers HAVE gotten their tires slashed here on multiple occasions so be aware of timing for your visits! As always, divers should be respectful of where they visit, but especially at the sites that we're not necessarily welcomed at.
