Calf Island

Boston

Calf Island is a dive site accessible by boat within the Boston Harbor Islands. This site is fun to explore with plenty of crevices, boulders and rock formation within 45 feet, making it a great site for a diver getting used to boat dives. Divers can come across jonah crab, rock crab, sea star, cunner, anemone, lobster, urchin, nudibranch, sea raven, sculpin, rock gunnel and flounder.

Note the general area of Boston Harbor is heavy with boat traffic. We recommend using dive reels when there is limited visibility (also if there is fog) to help guide divers back to the anchor line.
