Bull Point

Jamestown

Bull Point is an overall challenging spot for advanced divers but when all prevails, it's a nice dive and one of the only sites in New England where divers can hit 100ft. Divers walk with their gear from the parking lot down the steep path leading to the entrance. The beach doesn't provide relief after the steep track down as it's rocky and not recommended outside of high tide.

Unfortunately, the entrance is not the only challenging part of this dive. It's a common spot for fishermen who like to cast from the high cliffs. Many times, divers will get their flags caught on a line. There is also a ton of fishing debris in the water. Currents are the other challenging part here- we absolutely recommend slack tide but if divers have to go outside of slack we recommend diving on an incoming tide (low to high, not high to low) in the event the currents are strong. You don't want to get swept out to the channel as there are massive boats that come through.

Once all challenges are conquered, the dive is relatively nice. There are lines laid out paving the way towards depth. Most of the lines are intact but around 50ft, there is an area where divers may want to tie their own line in.

Divers will see a beautiful array of colorful rocks loaded with life. Beginning around 80ft, it gets silty without much life to see. Last time we were there we saw a bunch of searobins.
