Brownstone Park is a popular destination for local dive centers to bring students to train and complete their open water certification dives. Brownstone Exploration and Discovery Park contains two freshwater quarries- only one of them currently open to scuba diving on a regular basis. If you're looking to dive here, you'll want to visit the north quarry. The north quarry is a 27 acre brownstone quarry with beautiful views of 80 to 100-foot brownstone cliffs. Water depths range to 85 feet. An easy walk-in entry is available.

Divers will need to purchase the Adventure Pass from the park in order to dive here.($49)

Dive platforms both on the surface and underwater make training moreeasy for all. Scuba divers must be certified and dive with a buddy.

Parking:

non-metered parking; during the summer parking will be limited; according to the park- type in 161 Brownstone Ave Portland CT for the correct site to park.
